Baker & Spice, Belgravia – Café Fit-Out & Custom Joinery
We were appointed to deliver a full interior refurbishment for Baker & Spice in the heart of Belgravia — a well-established café brand known for its premium offering and stylish atmosphere. The brief called for a warm, inviting, and contemporary space that would enhance both customer experience and operational functionality.

Bespoke Joinery & Display Units:
We designed and built custom display joinery to house retail goods and dry produce, framing the café’s premium offering with a clean, elegant aesthetic. Backlit shelving and framed retail niches ensure products are both accessible and visually appealing.Booth & Bar Seating:
Bold, upholstered booth seating in a vibrant orange fabric adds warmth and contrast to the dark timber flooring. Custom bar-height seating by the windows maximises street views, creating an inviting atmosphere for casual diners and solo customers.Front Counter & Service Area:
The serving counter was completely reimagined with marble-effect cladding, a brass-trimmed hot pass, and integrated lighting. Functionality was key here — with ample workspace, refrigeration, and display units for efficient service flow.Flooring & Finishes:
The café features a rich mix of materials, including geometric marble floor tiles in the service area, set against dark timber floorboards in the main seating zone. These finishes offer both visual distinction and durability for high-traffic areas.Lighting & Decorative Details:
Warm amber glass pendants and large globe fixtures were installed to provide atmospheric lighting throughout the space. Autumnal foliage and carefully styled accessories help to soften the interior and align with the café’s seasonal brand identity.Full M&E Upgrades & Decoration:
The project included a complete upgrade of electrics and plumbing, along with repainting and redecoration throughout — delivering a clean and polished finish across all walls, ceilings, and trims.
